I cry. Does that make me emo?
I have male friends. Does that make me slutty?
I smile a lot. Does that make me weird?
I laugh loud. Does that make me preppy?
I have anxiety. Does that make me a freak?
I have Bipolar Disorder. Does that make me abnormal?
I respect people. I change for me, and only me. I have a past, but I know I have a future.
Does that make me different?
Maybe.
But at least it makes me

I can’t feel my toes and at first I think
It’s just my toes.
I can cover them up.
I can warm them.

It spreads, like fire,
Like ice.
I glance away for a second, it seems, and my feet are cold

I’ll warm them up.

Maybe a short rest will make it all better, warm them

Telling Childhood Goodnight.They were the fearless whispers through the starless night.
They were the pounding feet through the cobbled streets,
Screaming out for everything.
They were the fleeting memories of a time long gone by,
Blown away in the wind to a far away sky,

They were the youthful cries, screaming out.
They were the glowing eyes, on a fearless march,

It makes me want to cry that the best and worst days of my life,

For the many decades I've lengthened have expanded pain's time; across shallow mountains and beatings I prepare my final climb.

Through harsh mists and soft grasses the journey trembles on; days on end without my voices; alas, I realize they are gone.

Near all abandonment's shelter I rest without ease; my halved demon appears before me; she speaks hellishly in the breeze.

I don't fight fair...Cut, bruised, scraped, forgotten. These things I have all been at least once in my life. But it
hasn't made me stronger, just more determined in my fight to live another day.
I know the ways of my attackers, studied their movements, learned their tricks and gleamed
their true motives. I have seen their weaknesses, their faults, theirs flaws and I have kept
them close to me, ready for use when the next time we meet.
They are cautious of me, they have weary from my adaptive ways, knowing that I can fall only

S h a t t e r e d.What is she supposed to do
when the whole world is against her?
Everything she touches shatters
into a million tiny shards,
until it resembles the pathetic pieces of her broken heart
and withers away to nothing.

She'll watch the dust float away on the merciful wind,

Your Eyes.They say the eyes are a window to one's soul.
How lucky I was to discover these windows, so long unopened,
shut tightly and lacking trust, faith, truth and love.
What a pleasing adventure to pry those windows open
only to see an even greater beauty past the sullied glass.
Such overwhelming emotion that had been waiting to escape.
Such love merely resting until everything fell into place.
Such meek kindness and sweet, tentative affection.
Who am I to be the recipient of such wonders?
The content companion of one so lovely, as inwardly as out.
Oh, if only the glass were a mirror,
reflecting back in a bid for triumphant realization;

S i l h o u e t t e.She is a ghost of her former self.
Her once colourful emotions
are now all hues of grey.
As the scars on her arms fade,
she disappears with them,
leaving only a shadow of what used to be.

She is just another silhouette
dancing under the strong old tree.

Smoke and Mirrors.He is well hidden;
she have yet to see his face -
his true self.
A voice in her head whispers
that perhaps it's better this way.
He feels the need to hide
what she so longs to see,
these things that have been concealed
from only her eyes.
She pleads with him,
not understanding what she has done
to deserve such an aching curiosity.

this is torture.
She can't see
past his smoke and mirrors,
his fake smile,
his phony sherade.

She wants to give up.

Breath catches, hearts beat faster, while memories of past words drift through a passion-clouded mind: "My love for you was so unexpected, uncontrollable, unbearable. My heart feels like my chest can barely contain it. Like it doesn't belong to me anymore, it belongs to you. And if you want it, I would ask for nothing in return. No gifts, no goods, no demonstration of devotion, just knowing that you love me too." Tears begin to flow, and a heart bursts with emotion; Love - unlike anything felt before, strong and overwhelming. Fear - of losing the best thing to ever happen to a formerly worthless being. Need - to be in this place forever, held in loving arms. A growing warmth blossoms as a fire is lit. It will only grow in intensity over time. Not wanting to leave this moment Where, finally, it feels just like home.
